I know it has been over a month since I have written, but I have been having to much fun to sit on the computer. I have somewhat been avoiding the blog and the massive amounts of emails I have accumulated. In the last month some fun stuff has happened. The most fun things is adopting my new baby boy Baxter.

Let me explain. Ever since Frankey was kidnapped, I have had a hole in my heart that needed to be filled. Everyday I would lurk Craigslist to see if there were any free puppies or kittens that needed rescuing. Every time a litter would be advertised, I would call too late. I had basically given up on my search because I have Roger my babbit, That is, until my friend Laura asked me if I would like a kitten.

It was like fate! I told her how I had been looking for a kitten companion for the longest time, and she had told me how she acquired some kittens from her friend who was about to take them to the pound. She had four all white baby kittens in need of loving homes. PERFECT! Laura sent me a picture of the little nuggets, and I picked one out, who at the time we were referring to as number two. (we called him number two because he was the second kitten down)

Isn’t he just adorable? After I decided I wanted one of the kittens we made plans to rendezvous in Brevard county, Laura was in Boca and I was in Tallahassee. So on Friday she brought me my baby! He is by far the oddest cat I have ever met, and you can’t help but love him as soon as you see him. His favorite spot is napping in my lap, and purrs as loud as a motorboat. I love him so much already!! Here’s a little photo montage of my new baby Baxter. ENJOY!!!

Baxter will sure be a staple of this blog and will not be a stranger. I am click happy just like other new mommies are and I love showing him off. But for now, Welcome my little nugget into the blog world!

I think I am ready to go now. Today has been an early morning. I am quite the procrastinator and had barely any of my packing done last night. Now I am thoroughly prepared for the day at hand. Everything is packed up nicely and is good to go.

Today is the beginning of a new life journey and I can not wait to start it. Even though I love Tallahassee, I have desperately missed home. I don’t know what it is about Brevard, maybe the fact that I was born and raised there, but I will never grow tired of going back. Titusville will always be home, no matter how long I have spent away from it.

Brad’s mom (and my new mommy =P) Jenifer left around 8:30 this morning, so she should be arriving sometime between one and two. I am overjoyed right now and don’t think I will be able to contain myself. I have dreamed of moving home ever since I moved back to Tallahassee. The only reason I was here in the first place is because my mom had kicked me out of the house and had nowhere else to go. I am grateful for the love and hospitality that Jen has showed me and can’t thank her enough for all she is doing for me!

Right now I am probably going to go over my things one last time. I am missing my wallet and digital camera, so I will continue to look for them. Its not going to be the end of the world if I don’t find them, but I am not going to give up looking easily. Those things can be replaced, and given the situation, I am lucky those are the only things missing.

I haven’t been updating much, but a lot of exciting things have been happening to me. One of the biggest of them all is not a thing, but a person. My love life struggles have been no secret on this blog, and many of you know the trouble I have been having with boys. Well my friends, I am happy to report that my boy issues are gone for good.

Once I started to give up on any hope of a romantic relationship, I was blind-sided. I stopped looking and he just fell into my lap. Brad and I have been friends for a really long time, but I lost touch with him when he joined the navy. I was always attracted to him, but due to circumstances beyond my control, we never had the opportunity to explore it.

A couple of months ago, Brad and I began talking again and before I knew it we were talking everyday for hours on end. Our friendship slowly transformed itself into something much more, and I don’t think we had much control over it. I was starting to think that soul mates were just urban legend, but I am now thoroughly convinced that they are a definite reality. Brad and I just make sense. It feels like it should have always been, and because of the intense love we have for one another, we are now engaged!!!! I went from a series of unfortunate experience with the wrong kind of man, to uncovering my future husband and the love of my life. Brad said it best the other day when he told me the best things in life often have the most difficult obstacles.

My engagement isn’t the only news I have. Tomorrow, Brad’s mother is going to be making the 5 hour drive up to Tallahassee to pick me and my things up. She made her mind up and decided that she was going to rescue me from Tallahassee and bring me home with her and adopt me. I tried to fight it at first, but I desperately miss home, need to feel mommy love again, and like that I will get to know my new Mom-In-Law before Brad gets home. I am going to be living with her and her boyfriend.

Brad is in the Navy and is currently stationed in Rota, Spain. Its torture, but he will be coming home to me sometime in July. His new assignment is going to be at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. He starts there on August 15 so we have over a month to vacation and spend lots of time together. I am so excited and nervous about moving across the country. I love California, though, and can’t wait to live blocks away from the beach. Its going to be an experience.

The next few months are going to be spent planning my dream wedding and serious house hunting on the internet. My dream is to have a beach wedding and I plan on wearing a white bikini as opposed to a wedding dress. The reception is going to be a luau and everything is going to be really laid back. I plan on making my own wedding cake which will be awesome. Its going to be perfect because I don’t like staying inside the box.

So there you have it. What do you guys think about me chronicling my wedding planning from start to finish? I also want to focus the blog on being a newly wed Navy housewife. I’d like to hear your thoughts on it.

Ps. The other day my older sister, Jessica, had way to much fun uploading a bunch of old pictures to her facebook with nothing better to do on a rainy day. Here is one of the more embarrassing ones of me. I know many of you are a fan of my Cousin Graduate Meghann and the picture was actually taken in her bedroom. She had a little too much fun playing dress up with me.

So the first experiment of the day was one of my favorite dishes mac and cheese. I combined it with hamburger meat and extra cheese. It turned out fantastic

.

Then next came another awesome experiment. Oatmeal Pancakes.

To make them i just combined the following ingredients and cooked them just like regular pancakes.

• Apple cinnamon instant oatmeal 2 packages
• Maple and Brown Sugar instant oatmeal 2 packs
• cinnamon
• Aunt Jemima’s Pancake mix

I don’t have a picture because my phone is acting crazy but it was really good.

Well all the experimenting gave me a brilliant idea. Wouldn’t it be neat if the food blog community got together and write a cook book with everyone’s original recipes. if you would like to be involved just email me a recipe or two.

For the past few months i have ben searching for a male companion. I am human and have needs and i like being in a relationship. I was talking to my usual type of guy and they were all dead ends. So i decided to stop the insanity and try somethinhg different. Like complete opposite of my type. It was promising and first but it is a dud as well. All of these boys that have dissed me have given me quite the complex. I have lots of guy friend so i asked them.

First off, I would like to say one of my mantras is GO BIG OR GO HOME . I dont like doing things half assed, its just not a part of my personality. When i start something i make my goals high. If you set your standards low you wont succeed in life. Thats me.

People often mistake my eccentricity for unstable mental health. Right now i am of sound mind and body, i am just a little bit quirky. But i dont like to be put into a box. I am an individual, not a sheep. I refuse to be a number in the flock. IF that makes me crazy, oh well. At least i own it.

Ok enough ranting for tonight. people just frustrate me.

Today was a lazy day because it was pouring all day. It sucks when it rains here because we get barricaded in by streams of water that used to be the dirt road. One time the water came all the way up to the steps.

So since I was being a bum i opted for an easy lunch. As my uncle john said on Meghann’s post, you cant go wrong with pizza. It was walmart brand so i was cautious on the taste, but it turned out to br really good. It was the Foccacia Crust vegetable Medley. It was good. I have been having tummy issues and have betrying to get lots of fiber.

after lunch i layed around in bed. Which is what i am going to do right now.

Anyways on to the business of food. This afternoon I made one of my all time favorite dishes, Macaroni and cheese. I love pasta alot. When i make make and cheese i  like to make it really cheesy. mmm. There is a problem with that though. I am lactose intolerant. it is really irritating. I love dairy products. My favorite food is cheese. I dont think i could go on without ice cream. I have never tried the pills for it because I dont like taking alot medications because i dont want toxins in my body. Id rather give up my beloved dairy.

Are there milk substitutes besides soy milk? I cant drink soy because of my family history of thyroid problems

Its also that time of month again when I get bored with my hair and decide to take on a new persona. I chopped off all of my hair and dyed it funky. I look like a PUNK RAWKER lol. Here’s a pic:

Its a little too short for my taste, I have always thought that i looked like a boy, but the great thing about hair is that it grows. My hair grows fast too. Within a months it should be shoulder length again.

I also got my brand new Camera. I thought it was a Canon but it is a Fujifilm Finepix S1800. Its got 18 times zoom. Oh my. I haven’t been about to experiment much with food photography, but I did eat some ice cream the other day. Neopolitan with chocolate syrup.

Thats just a little sneak of what i can do with a nice camera.
